Verse 12.1 अर्जुन उवाच | एवं सततयुक्ता ये भक्तास्त्वां पर्युपासते | ये चाप्यक्षरमव्यक्तं तेषां के योगवित्तमा: || 1 || arjuna uvāca eva ṁ satata-yukt ā ye bhakt ā s tv ā ṁ paryup ā sate ye ch ā py ak ṣ haram avyakta ṁ te ṣ h ā ṁ ke yoga-vittam ā ḥ Arjuna’s question Amongst the devotees, who is greater? The seeker who worships the Lord with the form or the one who worships the Lord as nameless & formless? Nirguna upAsakAs or saguna upAsakAs? This question of Arjuna makes us think whether the Lord is with form or without form. To understand this, let us start from ourselves. Are we with form or without form? When asked thus, we say that we are both. i.e. we exist as form when seen at the gross level, but also, we exist without form as in the state of sleep or deep thinking. When this love is expressed towards family it is called paasam ( பாசம் or attachment). The more we share, the more we get. (just like knowledge). Retired, not Tired

All phases of life comes and goes. Only old age comes and stays with us forever. A 1 day workshop for senior citizens was organised by Chinmaya Mission Tiruvallur. Date - August 19th, 2018. Venue - Chinmaya Mission Tiruvallur. Fifteen members attended the program. The day was filled with session by Swami Sureshananda ji, chanting, chair yoga tips by TruptiYoga proprietor Nithiyan, q&a by Dr.Kamala amma. Also the movie "On a Quest" was screened in Thamizh. Special thanks to VGN Chinmaya Vidyalaya management for promoting this event and helping us reach out to the vanaprasthas.

College Culturals 2018

Event date : August 4th, 2018, Saturday. Last date for registration: July 25th, Wednesday Programme for college students to exhibit their talent and love for India. Events include singing, dancing, skit, street play, mime, oratorical, quiz, drawing, talent expo - all associated with India Programme to manifest youth potential, a day to celebrate mother India. Post event update : The 13th inter college cultural event titled “Indivisible Bharath” organized by the youth wing of Chinmaya Mission (CHYK) went on very well. The event was held on August 4th, Saturday at Chinmaya Mission Tiruvallur. 250 Students from around 15 colleges took part in the event. Shri Nedumaran, former RTO officer addressed the students and also distributed prizes. He created awareness on road safety and also some simple effective measures.The below listed colleges performed well and were awarded with special memento to appreciate their participation.
